Digicel Rising Star 2010 third-place winner Jermaine Michael has been making positive strides in the musicbusiness since being under the management of rising label Stashment Production.
The reggae artiste has stuck to cultural songs since he gained popularity in the Digicel Rising Star show three years ago.
"He is doing well since coming under Stashment Production as we have recorded a collaboration with female reggae star Etana, Who Is Responsible, on Stashment Production, that is getting good airplay, especially at IRIEFM radio station," Stasha Smith of Stashment Production told The Star.
"We are also planning on doing a music video for Jermaine that will be released soon. He is working very hard in writing and recording songs. The radio disc-jockeys, and also selectors, are rotating his songs," she added.
"He is focused on his career and has stuck with reggae. He has no intention to switch to dancehall. Jermaine is certainly on the right track and we at Stashment Production are happy to be working with such a dedicated person," Smith noted.
Whereas there is no rush to record an album, the singer is already working on a mixtape. He also has a single,Trouble, on the Frass rhythm.
"We are very satisfied with Jermaine's progress. Stashment doesn't work with any artiste that they don't have belief in. We are a hundred per cent behind Jermaine's career. We believe in Jermaine, but Jah is the superior one," she also said.
The artiste said since working with Stashment Production his career is looking good. "Stashment is a great person and easy to work with. Special big up to her and the team for the work they are doing. I want to also big up everyone who has been supporting me over the years," Jermaine said.
